공간의 행정학: 정부경쟁력제고를 위한 연구의제 탐색

Abstract

최근 사회 발달, 기술 발달 등 환경의 변화로 인하여, 공간은 단순히 지리적, 인위적 공간 등 물리적 공간의 맥락을 넘어서 가상적 공간 등을 포함하는 심리적 인식 맥락으로 확장되었다. 본 연구는 그동안 행정학에서 소홀히 다루었던 공간(space)에 대한 중요성을 부각시켜 행정학의 이론성을 검토하는 데 목적이 있다. 나아가서, 행정학에서 다루어야 하는 향후 공간연구의 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 행정활동은 이미 다양한 공간적 제약 및 잠재가능성을 바탕으로 이루어지고 정책의 공간적 범위는 정책의 실효성을 좌우하는 중대한 요소가 되므로 각 나라 정부경쟁력의 결정적 요소가 된다. 여러 공간관련 학문의 행정/정책적 연구를 바탕으로 행정학적 공간 개념을 도출하였다. 이를 기반으로 건축학, 도시 및 지역계획학 등 분야에서 사회 변화에 대응하기 위해 변화해 온 연구추이를 살펴보고, 향후 행정학에서 다뤄야할 공간의 차원들을 탐색한다. The research area of space has been dominated by the context of physical space such as artificial and geographical space. However, the concept of the space has recently been expanded to virtual space, including psychological recognition, due to transformied social development and technological improvement. This study aims to examine the theory of public administration by highlighting the importance of 'space,' since space has been neglected in the past. Furthermore, this study attempts to suggest the direction of research into space in the future that should be dealt with in public administration. Administrative activities are already based on various spatial constraints and potentialities. The boundary of space is a crucial factor that determines the effectiveness of policy that is a decisive factor in the competitiveness of government in each country. The concept of space in public administration is derived based on public administrative / policy research from various spatially-related disciplines. Therefore, this study examines the development of research about space in the fields of architecture and urban and regional planning, and discusses the dimensions of space to be dealt with in public administration in the future.
