초등학생 자녀의 학교폭력 경험유형에 따른 학부모의 인식 차이

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 초등학생 자녀의 학교폭력 경험유형(피해경험, 가해경험, 가․피해경험, 무경험)에 따라 학교폭력 상황에 대한 학부모의 인식 차이를 밝히는 데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 초등학생 자녀가 있는 학부모에게 학교폭력 상황을 기술한 시나리오를 제시하고 각 시나리오 상황에 따른 학교폭력의 심각성과 처리방식, 벌의 필요성 및 적절성에 대해 학부모의 인식을 묻는 질문지를 제작하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과, 학교폭력 상황의 심각성과 처리 방식, 벌의 필요성 및 적절성에서 있어 학교폭력 경험유형별 학부모 인식 간에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 피해학생 학부모가 가해학생 학부모, 가․피해학생 학부모, 무경험 학부모에 비해 동일한 학교폭력 상황을 더 심각하게 인식하고, 벌의 필요성은 더 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 벌의 적절성을 판단하는 데 있어 피해학생 학부모와 가해학생 학부모 간에 유의미한 차이가 발견되었다. 이후 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 초등학생 자녀를 둔 우리나라 학부모를 위한 학교폭력 예방교육 및 교육상담적 접근 방법과 효과적인 학교폭력사안 처리를 위한 교사 연수를 위한 제언을 중심으로 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the differences in parents' perception of school violence according to the type of school violence experience(bullies, victims, bully-victims, and non-involved group). For this purpose, This data was collected through a questionnaire specially designed to be a scenario describing a school violence situation; this questionnaire could ask parents' perceptions of the seriousness, method of dealing, necessity and appropriateness of punishment. The results of the survey are as follows: First, There is a meaningful difference in parent's perception of the seriousness, method of dealing, necessity and appropriateness of punishment according to the type of school violence experience. Second, victims' parents were recognized about the same school violence situation seriously and that the need for punishment is higher than other parents'. Lastiy, as a judge of appropriateness of punishment, there is a significant difference in parents' perception between bullies and victims. Based upon these findings, we discussed some interventions and school violence prevention education for parents of elementary school children in Korea and the teacher training for effective treatment of school violence issues.
