Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of vocational high-school graduates' personal traits, i.e. individual-level constructs such as learning attitude for vocational classes, career maturity, self-concept, family background, the relationship with parents and the degree of participation in career experience in their schools, as well as environmental context i.e. school-level constructs such as the amounts of career consultants, investment on career education, career guide activities, and providing career experience with students in each school. The results of study indicate the degree of participation in career experience and family background are statistically associated with their job satisfaction after graduation and the numbers of career consultants and career guide activities show highly negative interactive effects with the degree of participation in career experience between schools, that is, the more number of guide activities and career consultants, the less quality gap of career education between schools.
