- Abstract
- Percutaneous pulmonary valve implantation had been used for over ten years. This study was aimed to analyze clinical outcomes after percutaneous pulmonary valve implant by systematic review and meta-analysis of preexisting published studies. Method Literature search was performed on April 2014 via PubMed and Cochrane database using NECA guideline. Out of 599 studies 10 published articles since 2005 were eligible to be included in this study. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan. Result Significant efficacy was shown via pooled immediate hemodynamics, MRI, regurgitation outcomes. RV systolic pressure was significantly decreased (mean difference: 20.03mmHg, 95%: 17.95, 12.11). RV diastolic pressure was decreased (mean difference: 1.69mmHg, 95%: 0.94, 2.26). RV-PA gradient was reduced (mean difference: 18.96, 95%: 15.94, 21.99). End-diastolic RV volume was significantly reduced (mean difference: 26.92, 95%: 16.06, 37.77). Conclusion This study shows clinically significant improvement in safety and efficacy percutaneous pulmonary valve implantation.
