청소년의 내현적 자기애, 공격성, 사회불안, 페이스북 중독의 구조적 관계 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 청소년의 내현적 자기애가 페이스북 중독에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 공격성과 사회불안의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 경기·충청 지역 고교생 345명으로부터 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 구조방정식 모형을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년들이 내현적 자기애 성향을 보일수록 공격성이 높았고, 사회불안을 크게 느꼈다. 그리고 공격성이 높을수록, 사회불안이 클수록 페이스북 중독 가능성을 보였다. 둘째, 청소년의 내현적 자기애와 페이스북 중독의 관계를 공격성과 사회불안이 각각 완전매개하였다.

본 연구의 결과를 통해, 청소년들의 내현적 자기애가 페이스북 중독을 예측하는 단일 변인으로 유의하지 않고, 내현적 자기애 성향이 공격성과 사회불안을 높여 페이스북 중독에도 영향을 준다는 것을 알 수 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의 및 제한점과 앞으로의 연구방향이 논의되었다.

The present study aimed to confirm the mediating effect of aggression and social anxiety on the relationship between covert narcissism and facebook addiction of youth. The data were collected from 345 high school students, and were analyzed through structural equation modeling. The main research findings were as follow: First, when higher scores on covert narcissism were associated with increased aggression scores and higher level of social anxiety were found. Study has shown that higher scores on aggression were associated with higher levels of facebook addiction. Moreover, higher scores on social anxiety were associated with higher levels of facebook addiction. Second, (increased) aggression scores were found to significantly mediate the association between covert narcissism and facebook addiction. And (increased) social anxiety scores were found to significantly mediate the association between covert narcissism and facebook addiction. The result of the present study suggested that covert narcissism by itself is not a significant predictor for facebook addiction, but that aggression and social anxiety are linkage between them. The significance and limitations of the present study and directions for future research were also discussed.
