러시아어의 동사 상과 상호주관성: 재현된 지시적 화행동사의 상을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 필자의 선행연구(송은지 2016a, b)의 후속연구로서 러시아어 발화동사 가운데 지시적 발화수반요점을 지닌 화행동사를 6개의 의미유형, 즉 명령, 부탁, 질문, 소환, 허락이나 금지, 경고나 제안을 나타내는 화행동사 그룹으로 분류하여 그 상적 분포와 의미, 화용적 특성을 상호주관성의 관점에서 분석한 연구다. 본 연구는 지시적 화행이 다른 화행 유형과 달리 화자-청자의 상호적 인지, 심리, 정서, 태도의 조율이 필요하다는 점에 착안하여 지시적 화행동사의 상 선택에 관여하는 의미, 화용적 조건의 규명을 연구목표로 삼았다. 기존 연구는 발화동사나 화행동사 전반이 완료상과 불완료상 사이의 의미적 차이가 거의 없어 그 선택에 특별한 의미적 동기부여가 없거나 화용적 차원에서 발화효과행위의 성립 여부에 따라 불완료상은 성공하지 못한 시도로 완료상은 성공적 화행으로 분석하였다. 본 연구는 상 선택의 형평성을 고려하여 재현적, 비(非)행위수행적, 기술적, 진위진술적 발화의 과거시제에 나타난 상 분포 양상을 러시아국립코퍼스를 통해 양적으로 조사, 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 화행의 의미유형에 따라, 하나의 유형 내에서도 동사의 어휘적 의미에 따라 상적 분포가 달리 나타나고 발화수반력의 섬세한 정도성의 차이나 지시적 화행의 참여자들 사이의 권력적 위계 뿐 아니라 동사의 의미, 화용적 구조 안에 내재된 화자의 주관성이나 화자-청자의 상호주관성, 다시 말해 화자, 청자, 행위, 상황맥락의 복잡한 상관성의 역학관계가 상 선택과 긴밀하게 연관됨을 밝혔다. 본 연구는 또한 최근 지시적 화행의 동사 명령형의 상 연구에서 논의되고 있는 불완료상 명령형과 화자-청자의 상호주관성의 연관성에 대한 주장을 뒷받침하는 또 다른 논거로서의 의의도 지닌다.

The study aims to investigate determining factors for the aspectual choice of speech act verbs(SAV), especially directive speech act verbs (DSAV), as represented or described as non-performative constatives in the past tense. Previous studies on Russian verbal aspect, dealing with SAV, argue that there is a considerable degree of indifference in the aspectual choice and failed to discover any determining parameter of aspectual choice in the aspectual competition. Some recent studies argue that pragmatic motives, such as success or failure of perlocutionary acts, or relative differences in the authority of speech act participants determine aspect for SAV. In contrast with other illocutionary acts, DSAV are the locus of speaker-hearer interactive dynamism because there are varying degrees in the force with which the illocutionary point is presented, as well as differences in the cognitive statuses of the speaker and the hearer as these bear on the illocutionary force. Through quantitative analysis, the study illuminates there are crucial factors influencing aspectual choice: speakers subjectivity, speaker-hearer intersubjectivity as well as differences in the illocutionary force and power/authority between the speaker and the hearer. DSAV which are subjective, or focus only on the speakers wants or desires have a tendency to opt for perfective aspect, whereas DSAV which are intersubjective, or have entrenched meaning of estimation for hearers cognitive status, emotion, attitude, have a tendency to opt for imperfective aspect. These correlations are compatible with recent findings that in imperatives there are meaningful correlations between subjectivity and perfective aspect on one hand, intersubjectivity and imperfective aspect on the other.
