프로코피에프의 피아노 소나타 No.7, Op. 83에 관한 기법 연구 및 연주적 분석

Abstract

Sergey Prokofiev is a famous Russian composer, conductor and also pianist of the 20th century. Prokofiev has tried various genres and forms of music and had composed over 100 pieces of music in his life. The work of Prokofiev is not only based on the classic tradition, but also innovative and individual. Prokofiev's music is diverse and also includes Russian history and ethnic. He shows a creative way of composing by using contemporary musical language with the gesture of neo-classicism. The most common technique in his works is the use of the Ostinato bass. Piano Sonata No. 7 was completed from 1939 to 1942, composed of three movements. Because of the fact that it was composed during World War II, this piece, including Piano Sonata no.6 and 8, is also called "War Sonata" This paper will discuss firstly about career as a musician and also personal life of Prokofiev, in order to demonstrate about origin and background of his music pieces. Then this dissertation will divide his musical characteristic into 5 aspects to analyze various perspectives in Piano sonata no.7. Based on the detailed analysis of the various composition techniques such as rhythm and melody of each movement, including the structure of harmony, this paper will aim to provide insights of performing Prokofievs Seventh Piano Sonata.

세르게이 프로코피예프는 20세기 러시아의 대표적인 작곡가이자 지휘자이며, 그는 또한 피아니스트다. 프로코피예프는 다양한 장르의 음악을 작곡하였고, 그의 생애 동안 130여 개에 달하는 작품들을 창작하였다. 프로코피에프의 작품은 고전적인 전통을 계승하여 이를 바탕으로 혁신적이고 개성적인 면모를 보여준다. 프로코피에프의 음악은 다양한 면모를 보여주며, 러시아의 역사와 민족적 정신이 담겨 있다. 그의 작품에서는 그만의 독창성이 돋보이며, 현대 음악 어법을 사용하지만 신고전주의의 영향이 뚜렷하게 나타난다. 그리고 그의 작품들에서 가장 흔히 나타난 기법은 오스티나도 베이스 기법이다. 프로코피예프의 피아노 소나타 7번은 1939년부터 1942년에 걸쳐 완성되었고 3악장으로 구성되어 있다. 후기 소나타 6번, 8번과 함께 제2차 세계대전의 배경으로 작곡되어 소위 '전쟁 소나타'라고 불린다. 본 논문은 프로코피에프의 피아노 소나타 제7번에서 나타나는 작곡 기법과 연주적 분석을 서술하고자 한다. 이 논문에서는 작곡가의 생애적 배경을 먼저 살펴본 뒤, 그의 중요한 작품들에 대해 간략하게 언급한다. 이후 그의 음악적 특징을 신고전주의와 현대주의적인 관점과 타악기적, 서정적, 그리고 그로테스크적인 특징으로 총 5개로 분류하여 그의 음악에서 나타나는 다양한 면모를 보고자 한다. 이 논문에서 중심적으로 서술하고자 하는 작품의 형식과 구조를 토대로 각 악장과 악구의 리듬, 선율 등 다방면에서 그의 작곡 기법에 대한 분석을 하여 작품에 대한 구조뿐만 아니라 이를 통해 연주에 대한 통찰력을 제공하고자 한다.
