루머 확산의 사이버 괴롭힘을 목격한 주변인 행동에 영향을 미치는요인: 성별에 따른 심리적 변인의 차이를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 사이버 괴롭힘 중에서 루머를 확산하는 형태의 괴롭힘에 주목하여 루머 확산의 괴롭힘을 목격한 주변인의 행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 성별에 따른 차이를 확인하기 위하여 가해자와 피해자가 모두 남학생 또는 여학생으로 구성된 단톡방 시나리오를 제시한 후 루머 확산을 목격한 주변인의 행동반응을 분석하였다. 그리고 이러한 행동에 또래 동조성, 도덕적 이탈, 지각된 학급규준 및 사회적 유능감이 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하였다. 이를 위하여 중국 사천성 성도시（四川省成都市）소재의 4개 중학교 2, 3학년의 학생 473명을 대상으로 실시한 설문을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 성별에 따른 주변인 유형의 차이를 검증한 결과 가·피해자 모두가 남학생으로 구성된 루머 확산의 사이버 괴롭힘 상황에서 성별에 따른 주변인의 유형에는 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석을 실시한 결과 성별에 따라 위의 4가지 심리적 변인이 주변인 행동에 미치는 영향이 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 본 연구는 사이버 괴롭힘의 한 유형인 루머 확산에 초점을 두어 주변인의 행동에 영향을 미치는 심리적 변인을 성별에 따른 차이를 중심으로 심층적으로 분석한 점에서 의의를 지닌다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 중학교 루머 확산의 사이버 괴롭힘을 예방하고 효과적으로 개입하기 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.

This study focused on bullying in the form of spreading rumors in the context of cyber bullying and analyzed the factors that affected bystanders' behavior that witnessed the harassment of spreading rumors. To determine the sex difference, after presenting a compositive scenario in which both perpetrators and victims are either male or female, we analyzed the behavior of bystanders who witnessed the spread of rumors. For this purpose, the following results were obtained by analyzing a survey of 473 students in the second and third grade of four middle schools in China's Sichuan province. First, according to the results of verifying differences in behavior by gender, there was a notable difference in the types of people around them by gender in the context of cyber-bullying of rumor spreading in which both perpetrators and victims are male. Second, results of regression analysis, four variants depending on gender showed significant impact on bystanders' behavior in the context of cyber bullying of rumor spreading. This study is meaningful in its in-depth analysis of psychological variations affecting bystanders' behavior by focusing on spreading rumors as a sub-component of cyber bullying. Based on the results of this study, we have made suggestions to prevent and intervene in the cyber bullying of rumor spread in middle schools.
