대학생의 교수-학생상호작용에 대한인식 유형탐색

Abstract

이 연구는 대학 강의에서 나타나는 교수와 학생 간 상호작용에 대한 학생의 인식을 조사하고, 다차원척도법을 활용한 프로파일분석 기법인 PAMS(Profile Analysis via Multidimensional Scaling) 분석을 실시하여 대학생의 교수-학생 상호작용에 대한 인식 유형을 탐색하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 3개 영역, 15개 문항으로 구성된 교수-학생 상호작용 평정척도를 활용하여 강의에서 인식한 상호작용에 대한 평가를 실시하였으며, 총 333명의 대학생이 응답한 결과를 통계적으로 분석하여 같은 강의를 수강한 대학생의 교수-학생 상호작용 인식을 유형화하고 특성을 파악하였다. 연구결과, 대학생들의 상호작용에 대한 인식 유형은 크게 3가지 대표적 프로파일로 확인되었으며, 각각의 특성에 따라 내용 영역 부족형, 행동 영역 부족형, 맞춤형 행동 중시형으로 명명하였다. 이러한 3가지의 프로파일 유형은 동일한 상호작용에 대해서도 개인마다 인식하는 수준이 다를 수 있고 주목하는 측면이 다양할 수 있음을 시사한다. 또한 학생 개인이 인식한 상호작용의 수준은 3가지 대표 프로파일로 상당한 부분을 설명할 수 있고, 성별에 따라 상호작용의 인식 유형에 차이가 나타날 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate students perceptions of faculty-student interaction in university lectures, and to explore profile patterns of perceptions applying PAMS (Profile Analysis via Multidimensional Scaling) model. For this purpose, the faculty-student interaction was assessed by 333 college students using rating scales with 3 domains and total 15 items. The results of responses were analyzed statistically applying PAMS model, types of perceptions were identified as three representative profiles. They were named insufficient content domain type, insufficient behavior domain type, and customized behavior emphasis type according to each profiles characteristics. These diverse types of profiles suggested that the level of perceptions about same interaction may vary, and the aspects to be noted may be different from person to person. In addition, the level of each students perception can be explained by these representative three profiles. Also, the differences between males and females were verified in some profiles.
