석보상절 권3의 불경 발췌 양상 연구

Abstract

This paper suggests a new methodology for the textual criticism of the Classical Chinese draft for Seokbosangjeol 釋譜詳節, a biography of Gautama Siddhartha written in Early Middle Korean in 15th century. The paper demonstrates how it works by applying it to Seokbosangjeol vol. 3. The preface of the book says that its contents came from the Shijia Pu 釋迦譜and Shijia Shi Pu 釋迦氏譜. It has, however, been known that there were other references such as the Lotus Sutra 妙法蓮華經. The author made use of a corpus consisted of Buddhist texts and found that there were other references such as Seokgayeoraehaengjeoksong 釋迦如來行蹟頌, Shishi tongjian 釋氏通 鑑, etc. The selection criteria as well as the list of the corpus texts are discussed in the paper.
