Abstract
This paper focuses on culture change methods linked with the levels of culture and then seeks to examine culture change methodology. By reviewing the definition. background theories and methods of organizational culture change. it raises a question about how organizational culture method is different in accordance with the object. period of time. time to change and change agent and explore the linkage of organizational change. This paper reviews the qualitative methods such as Rep Grid. case study and attributional analysis. Based on these studies. it proposes alternatives methods as follows. The key to effective change is to understand that changes in structures. processes. and systems should be linked with specific changes in behavior directly related to performance and the achievement of strategic objectives. To change culture effectively. each company can change culture by selecting the change methods. such as changes in leadership. paradigm change and reward systems. Culture change method must suit for the readiness of system. change agents. time to change and organizational growth stage. This paper contends that continuous appraisal and improvement is necessary to change culture by turning to learning organization. Finally. this paper emphasizes that criteria and frameworks are essential for assessing the culture change which actually occurred and stress on the longitudinal study which combine both qualitative methodology and quantitative methodology in the future.
