- Abstract
- The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship among -
organizational commitment. job satisfaction. turnover intention, and culturegap
measured by Kilmann & Saxton's culture-gap survey. Kilmann & Saxton's
culture gap survey has long been used by practitioners but not investigated
by academic side. By combining the theory of person-organization fit with
the notion that organizational values and norms have influence on employee's
behavior, we investigated the effects of culture-gap on job satisfaction.
organizational commitment. and turnover intention. The results of P-O fit
research report that P-0 fit has effects on job satisfaction. organizational
commitment, and turnover. intention. Thus we expected that therc would be
the same results on t,he case of culture-gap measured by Kilmann Kr Saxton's
culture-gap survey. The ~.esult of our rcsearch showed that cu1tul.e-gap
have the same direct effects on job satisfaction and organizational
commitment like that of P-0 fit research. but not on turnover int.ention.
The relationship between culture-gap and turnover intention was proven to
be mediated by job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
