dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to identify the impact of core competence of SMEs on their innovation performance by the resource based view of a firm approach. Global competition and rapid change of environment require more internal changable capabilities. Also, recent studies of strategy and organizations suggest that core competences including dynamic capability and resources are critical success factors of innovation as an internal capability For empirical study, this study develops research model of core competence(product technology, process technology, organizational cohesiveness) and innovation performance(product and process innovation) Process innovation performances are determined by product & process-related capability do not influence product innovation performances under the assistant subcontracting relations. That is, organizational capability is important to increase of innovation performance. Also SMEs do not need technology development and innovation capability under assitant subcontracting relationship.-
