The purpose of thise study is to identify belief-systems of Korean Shamanism, especially the concept of "dead-soul". In order to find out the criginal pictures of Korean Shamanism, the concept of "dead-soul" would be examined in this study. First of all, the concept of "dead-soul" is the least affected by alien-cultural traditions, Second, the concept of "dead-soal" takes great positions of Gut (Korean Shamanistic Ritual). However, a Gut reveals itself various aspects even in the same
process of the cult. The Korean Shamanism, without establishing the doctrines, has been affected by such alien religions as Buddism, Confucianism, and Taoism, etc, Thus Korean Shamanism seems to be syncretized with them. Though there are various contradictory concepts, we can observe that a Gut gives strong impact to the participants of the ritual.
