Abstract

We should manage logistics as an integrated system to improve its efficiency. Logistics information system (micro) is a trigger mechanism and core means for establishing total logistics system. Logistics information is categorised as logistics lanning information, logistics operation information and logistics management information. Information management in logistics Finally evolved into the intercorporate information network through the medium of VAN. General1y logistics information system has several subsystems such as order processing and information system, inventory management system, transportation planning system, logistics management supporting system. But its ultimate objective is to build and use an integrated logistics information system under which production management, marketing management and other management functions are planned, implemented and control1ed. Finally macro logistics information system is suggested to make micro logistics information system work more efficiently.
