Multiplication and Antibody Formation of Japanese Encephalitis Virus in Snakes*

Abstract

1. JE virus was injected into snakes and they were kept at room temperature and 4°C. After that viremia was checked, virus multiplication could be demonstrated in some of the snakes but its appearance was irregular. 2. After injecting JE virus into the snake, it was difficult to demonstrate antibodies but there were traces that implied antibody formation.
