사회 혁신에서 협력 서비스까지: 지속가능한 생활의 시험적 시나리오

Abstract

수년간의 상대적인 무관심으로 일관해 온 후, 우리의 산업화된 사회는 갑자기 기후 변화의 위험성에 대해서 깊이 의식하게 된 듯 보인다. 무탄소와 에너지 절감은 지금 이 순간 주도적 발의안을 끌어내는 촉매제가 된 듯하다. 환경에 대한 의식은, 최종 결정을 내리는 사람들과 시민들에게 직접적으로 와 닿을 만큼 자라나고 있다. 그러나 문제를 규정한다고 해서 해결이 되는 것은 아니다… 점점 더 많아지는 다수의 사람들은 이제, 향후 10년간의 환경 기술이 얼마나 발전할 것인가는 관계 없이, 꿈 같은 소비 사회의 세계가 (과연 꿈이라고 할 수나 있다면) 세계적인 규모에서 생존해 나가리라고는 믿지 않는다. 좀더 심층적인 추세는 소모적인 일상 활동들을 바꾸어 나가야 할 필요성을 인지하는 것과, 더욱 자가 충족적으로 지속가능한 새로운 생활 방식에 대해서 다시 한번 생각해 보는 것이다. 하 지만 에너지의 지속가능한 생활 방식이란 무엇인가? 일상 궤도의 어떤 부분들을 바꿔보는 것에 동의한다면 우리의 일상 생활은 어떤 것이 될 것인가? 우리 기존 생활의 표준을 낮추는 일 없이 발생되는 충돌을 최소화하는 방법은 무엇일까? 연구 보고 결과들은 물질적 부의 축적과 인구의 행복 지표가 점점 어긋나고 있다고 말하고 있다. 지속가능성이 더 커지는 생활 양식을 추구하는 것이 삶의 질을 향상시키고 더 큰 만족감을 안겨 주게 될까? 이 글에서 우리는 이러한 일련의 질문들에 대답해 보고자, 협력 서비스 모델이라는 새로운 일상 생활의 형태를 짚어볼 것이다. After years of relative indifference, our industrialised societies suddenly seem to be preoccupied with the risks of climate change. Zero carbon and energy reductions seems to be at the moment the catalysts for initiatives. Environmental awareness is reaching the decision makers and the citizen. However, identifying the problem does not mean ­nding a solution… A growing majority of people now believe that the dream world of a consumer society (if indeed one can speak of a dream) is not viable on a global scale, regardless of the progress of green technologies in the coming decades. A more in-depth trend is acknowledging the necessity of shifting unsustainable daily practices and rethinking new and more sustainable ways of living. But what is a sustainable way of living? What will our daily lives become if we agree to change some of our routines? How do we reduce our impact without lowering our living standards? Observations show that growing material wealth and levels of population satisfaction are increasingly uncoupled. Could the pursuit of more sustainable lifestyles also lead to better quality and more satisfaction? In this article we attempt to answer some of these questions by shaping an new scenario of daily living: the scenario of Collaborative Services.
