- 우고 차베스의 집권 이후 남아메리카 10개국 중 8개국이 핑크빛 물결(pink tide)에 합류함으로써 남아메리카의 10개국 중 8개국은 진보 좌파 벨트를 형성하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 라틴아메리카 정치 지형의 변화를 가능하게 했던 신자유주의 모델에 저항하는 지속적인 사회운동과 그로인한 정치적 변화가 사회운동에 미친 영향에 대하여 논한다.
