Enrique Dussel is one of the most eminent philosophers in Latin America. The goal of this paper is to introduce Dussel's philosophy of liberation and transmodernity. In order to achieve my purpose, I will particularly focus on the essential philosophical concepts and their structure of his work. This work consists of the following steps. First, to enlightenment. Second, I examine problems of his interpretation of Levinas and Marx that forms a foundation of philosphy of liberation. It would clarify concepts such as exteriority or alterity which are most important ideas of philosophical contribution to critice of totalizaing dialectic of eurocentrism. Finally, I argue that Dussel's originality comes form geopolitics of knowledge or critic of coloniality. In this regard, unlike Frankfurt school or postmodernism, transmodern critic of rationality aims at restoration of 'reason of other' that is distinguished form destruction of reason. Through these processes, I hope to provide a prospect of philosophy of liberation and transmodernity-
