지구과학교육과 목표와 발전에 관한 연구

Abstract

There are many changes in todays science, which ask the Department of Earth Science Education(DESE) in the Seoul National University(SNU) as one of the Department of Earth Science Education(DESE) for solving all the problems attributing to the actual conditions of our department in the university as well as presenting the development plans in order to improve and refresh its goals. We adopt the methods and procedures of 1) refering to sundry records such as journals, relating papers, master theses and doctoral dissertations, 2) making up a questionnaire to undergraduates, graduates and faculty, related to our department, 3) discussing the same topic as covered in the questionnaire in 2) with all the parties concerning Earth Science Education, and 4)analysing all the data from above and establishing the development project of our department. We could tentatively summarize the expective results as i) providing the participants of our department with an opportunity for desirable self-cognition and plans of their own selfdevelopments, ii) providing the managers of the college of education in SNU with the ground bases for the managing effectively, iii) providing the participants of DESE in the other universities with opportunities for erecting a statue of DESE and promoting close relations, v) improving and developing the Earth Sceince Education Research System in DESE, and v) stimulating the other departments in the college of education, SNU to establish the cooperative system with our department.
