It is generally agreed that there several goals for programs of college physical education (1) leadership training, (2) meeting the needs and interests of participants for sports activities, (3) improving one's health and physical fitness, (4) improving inter-personal relationship, (5) improving the attitude for intramural and life-time sports activities. However, efforts have not been made on the enhancement of the programs of physical education by most administrators of colleges and universities. Recomendations for further improvement of the program would be made as follows: (1) The purposes and objectives for the instructional service program should be made. (2) An elective program by students should be offered in all areas of the programs. (3) The contents and methodology of the programs should be evaluated to improve the programs on the basis of the needs and interests of all participants. (4) Facilities and equipment should be established to functionally operate the program. (5) Current 4-credit semester hours should be maintained to earn a bachelor's degree.-
