- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to test the effects of the frequencies of the childrens reading skill practices which were mainly operated by the speed-oriented strategies in primary school context. The assumption was that reading-speed skill development is related with the level of the frequencies of the following manipulated variables. They were as the followings; such as, (1) the strategy for developing the span of cognition ability, (2) strategy for getting rid of the hindrance behaviors as concurred while reading, (3) strategy for developing eye-movement relevant to the reading-speed behaviors for skill improvement. To verify the hypotheses from the above assumption, the plan of the experiment was executed under the principle of randomization in experimental procedures, such as in selecting samples, manipulating the treatment; and controlling the other rival-hypotheses. After the 40 days experimentation, the results were positively verified at statistically significant level. They were the reading-speed skill improvement, which was ad hoc program manipulated, and positive changes in their attitudes and transfer level to the other subject matters, such as Korean language and nation-oriented social studies of primary school curricula.
