Abstract

Methanol poisoning has been reported as a cause of death and blindness. But recently cases of successful treatment of methanol poisoning have been reported since advent of dialysis. Here we describe a case of treatment of methanol poisoning with severe metabolic acidosis without complications using ethanol, sodium bicarbonate and hemodialysis.
