우리나라 수출의 파급효과와 환율 변동이 수출에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구에서는 기업별 미시 패널자료를 바탕으로 대기업 수출이 중소기업의 경영성과에 미치는 파급효과를 살펴보았다. 정태적 모형의 분석으로부터 대기업 수출과 중소기업의 성과지표(수출, 고용, 매출, 부가가치)는 동일한 방향으로 움직이는 경향이 관측되었다. 경기변동 요인을 통제한 모형에서도 대기업 수출은 중소기업의 고용•매출•부가가치와 양(+)의 상관관계에 있는 것으로 추정되었다. 동태적 모형의 분석에 따르면 대기업 수출은 중소기업의 수출•고용•매출에 정(+)의 영향을, 부가가치에는 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 관측되었다. 한편 환율 변동이 수출 및 기업 매출에 미치는 영향을 분석해 본 결과 환율증가율이 1% 높아지면 분석 대상전체 기업의 수출증가율은 0.36%, 매출증가율은 0.09% 정도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다.

This study examines the impact of exports by large firms on the performance of small and medium sized (SM) firms in Korea using firm-level micro panel data. The analyses of static models suggest that the performance (exports, employment, sales, and value added) of Korean SM firms are positively correlated with large firms exports. According to the analyses of dynamic models, large firms exports positively affect SM firms exports, employment and sales, while value added is negatively influenced. It is also observed that a one percent increase in the exchange rate is associated with a 0.36 percent increase of exports growth and a 0.09 percent increase of sales growth by all considered firms.
