Abstract
The language of poetry is not a specific use of a natural language but an independent system of poetic signs and their rules of combination. It belongs to those systems that have natural language as their basis and that acquire supplementary superstructures, thus creating languages of a second level which can appropriately be called the secondary communication-modeling systems. The purpose of this paper is to study the methodological and theoretical constructs of the linguistic/semiotic poetics, the semiotic discipline being the advanced state of linguistics, with the above view that poetics belongs to the matter of the secondary modeling system of communication.
