Abstract

In part I, I described a method of computer linguistic study of German syntax by representing a close relationship between the syntax as a generating model and the automata as a recognizing model. However, in order to treat the structures of natural language by machine, we need some kinds of strong restrictions on the contextfree syntactic rules because of their excessively powerful character of productivity.
