Abstract

This paper shows the role of morphological analysis and lexicon in natural language processing. The information in lexicon varies by the application fìelds. One of the difficulties in constructing lexicon is the represention of semantics. Meaning postulate and semantic decomposition are generally used for representing meaning. The morphological analysis method of Korean is given as an example.
