In this paper I examine null operator relatives and finite declarative complements that are not introduced by the complementizer that. I argue that, contrary to standard assumptions, the clauses in question have no CP projection. They are bare IPs and not CPs introduced by a null complementizer. I provide a uniform account of the IP status of the clauses in question based on the Principle of Economy of Representation.ko_KR
