함경 방언의 모음 체계

Abstract

이 논문에서는 현재 북한의 함경도(함경 남북도 포함) 방언의 모음 체계 를 실험 음성학적 방법으로 분석하여 필자가 이미 연구하여 놓은 서울 표 준말과 평양문화어의 모음 체계와 대조 연구하여 우리 나라 여러 방언 모 음 체계의 특성이나 혹은 공통적 성향을 발견하려고 한다. 이 논문에서 다루는 함경도 방언 지역이란 종래 육진 방언 지역이라 일컬 어졌던 함북 두만강 지역과 지도상에 나타나는 함경 남북도 지역을 다 포함 하는데， 현재 북한은 1988년말 행정구역을 개편하여 자강도， 양강도， 그리 고 황해도 대신에 황해 남북도를 신설하였기 때문에 1945 년 해방되던 해의 북한의 행정구역이 현재 우리가 사용하는 이북의 지도와 유사하므로 이 논 문에서는 편의상 북한의 1945년말 지도를 사용한다.

This paper aims to acoustically analyze the vowel systems of the Hamkyong Dialect of North Korea and find the phonological rules which exist in the Seoul and the Pyongyang dialect previously analyzed by the au thor. For my research, 5 subjects who recently fled from Hamkyong Province of North Korea were selected. Among the 5 subjects, 4 speakers are males and one is female whose ages are from twentyseven to fifty. 1 selected two types of test frames: one is an isolated form of eight simple vowels and the other is vocabulary which contains eight simple vowels. Each word was read in a sentence frame I said_.
