Abstract
The two goals of this thesis are to ascertain syntactic and semantic differences between ‘-dako hanin’ and ‘danin’of the Korean quotation construction markers and to reveal that 'danin’can be a syntactic unit after grammaticalizational processes. First of all, we examined that 'danin’ was abbreviated into ‘-dako hanin’ synchronically. ‘-dako hanin’’combines with the compliment head noun, which have communicative meaning Second, the semantic meaning of ‘”-dako hanjn’has an indirectness of the statements, ‘danin’has probability of the statements. Third, 'danin’can be one of the adnominal endings in Korean, because danin’’and adnominal ending ‘(i)n' have same syntactic phenomena
