Abstract
This research is purposed for examining Critical Language Awareness (CLA)

generally and giving some educational suggestions about teaching knowledge about Korean language. CLA is the alternative approach to language teaching emerged from UK. However, this movement has not been introduced yet in Korea. This research is purposed for investigating the Question 'what is Critical Language Awareness?' thoroughly. Then, its concept theoretical background in, pedagogical principles as a educational agenda and its limit have mainly been concerned this paper. In this process, it has dealt with CLA mainly in terms of the 'critical' phase,

so that has given some suggestions onto our contemporary educational practices in the area of 'knowledge about Korean language'.
