북한의 외국어로서의 조선어 교재 비교 연구 -김일성종합대학교와 김형직사범대학교의 초급 회화 교재를 중심으로-

Abstract

본 연구에서는 현재 북한의 주요 2개 대학에서 이루어지고 있는 외국인을 대상으로 한 조선어교육을 위해 제작된 초급 수준의 교재를 상호 비교하여 각 교재의 특성을 분석하고 교재론적으로 유효한 시사점을 고찰해 보았다. 이를 위해 먼저 외국인의 대표 조선어 연수 기관으로서 김일성종합대학교와 김형직사범대학교가 거론이 되는 이유에 대해 그 배경을 설명하고, 이 두 기관에서 발행한 조선어 회화 교재의 출판 현황에 대해서 논의를 전개하였다. 이어 본격적으로 두 기관의 초급 회화 교재를 비교, 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 두 교재의 발행 목적은 근본적으로 같지만 교육을 위한 접근 방법과 이를 구현하기 위한 교수요목에 있어서는 명징한 차이가 존재하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 김일성종합대학교의 회화 교재는 초급 단계에서 외국어 학습자를 고려하여 문법 항목과 단어를 통제하는 방식을 기획하고 있는 반면 김형직사범대학교의 회화 교재는 실제성이 높은 문장 중심의 대화문을 통해 상당한 양의 목표어 노출을 제공하려는 의도를 보이고 있었다. 향후 더 세밀하고 다양한 기준으로 두 교재를 면밀히 살펴보는 한편 이외 교재에 대한 분석과 참여 학습자의 제보를 종합하여 북한의 조선어교재의 면면을 구체적으로 재구성해 나갈 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate representative North Korean KFL(Korean as a Foreign Language) textbooks for beginners. To achieve this, not only research of the present state in North Korean KFL education was carried out throughout leading study, but also comparative analysis and evaluation of selected two textbooks were operated. In the first place, this study investigated the reason why the two universities ― Kim Il-sung University and Kim Hyŏng-jik Pedagogical University ― became official and representative institution of North Korean KFL training program. Subsequently, this study tried to compare Kim Il-sung Universitys textbook with Kim Hyŏng-jik pedagogical Universitys, and find out some significant facts such as while the one suggested structured and grammatical syllabus the other adopted situational-topic syllabus based on pattern drills.
