한국어 학습자의 상호작용적 시 읽기 양상 연구 -문화 이해를 중심으로-

Abstract

본 연구는 질적 연구 방법으로 한국어 고급 학습자들의 상호작용적인 시 읽기 양상을 고찰함으로써, 시를 활용한 문화 교육의 가능성과 교수-학습 과정 중에서 시를 어떻께 가르칠 수 있을지에 관해 시사점을 얻는 데 목적이 있다.

먼저, 교실 내 상호작용의 측면에서 본 연구의 시사점은 다음과 같다. 개별 학습자의 의미 해석은 학습자 간의 상호작용을 통하여 구체화되고 조정되고 발전되는 양상을 보였는데 이는 상호작용적 읽기가 의미 구성에 도움이 됨을 말해준다. 또한 교사의 발문은 학습자 간의 활발한 상호작용과 학습자들의 보다 심층적인 문화 인식을 이끌어 낼 수 있었다.

다음으로, 문화적인 측면에서의 시사점은 다음과 같다. 같은 동양권에 속한 학습자들은 다른 문화권의 학습자보다 시에 제시된 문화를 더 잘 이해하는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 학습자들은 각 문화권의 문화적인 특징에 대해서는 존중하는 태도를 나타냈고 비교문화적인 차원에서 상호문화적인 이해를 하고자 하였다. 이는 시 텍스트가 문화 교육의 효과적인 제재가 될 수 있음을 재확인하게 해준 부분이기도 하다.

본 연구는 아직 한국어 교육에서의 효과적인 제재로 다루어지지 못하고 있는 시를 활용하여 문화 교육의 가능성을 제시하였고, 상호작용적 시 읽기 양상을 구체적으로 분석하여 시사점을 도출하였다는 데서 의의를 지닌다.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the behaviors of interactive poetry reading of high level-Korean learners as well as to obtain the implications of the possibility of culture education using poetry.

Firstly, research implication point from the aspect of interaction is like this. Interpretation of meanings from individual learner becomes concrete and adjustable through the interaction among the learners, which indicates that interactive reading promote the composition of the meanings. In the meanwhile, interaction through teacher's questioning turns out to be able to lead the active interaction among the learners as well as in depth of cultural understanding of the learners. Next, implication point from the aspect of culture is like this. It turns out that learners show the positive attitudes that respect the traits for different cultures as well as try to cross-culturally understand each other.
