한국 전통음악에서 채보와 기보, 인식과 그 한계

Abstract

본 글에서는 전통음악에서 채보와 기보, 인식과 그 한계를 짚어봄으로써, 그것으로 인식의 지평을 넓히고자 하였다. 1950년 이후 남한과 북한에서 역보, 채보 발간되었던 악보 중 안확과 이왕직 아악부의 기보, 종묘제례악 악보, 국립국악원 발행의 산조 악보, 북한의 정남희․안기옥 가야금 교측본, 김윤덕의 산조가야금 기보체제, 이재숙의 산조악보 등을 연구대상으로 삼았다. 정간기보에서 오선기보로의 전환과정에서 안확과 이왕직아악부의 기보체제인 플랫 하나 조와 2분박 형태의 리듬꼴은 궁중음악의 오선기보체제 확립에 큰 영향을 준다. 그런데 그것은 음악의 구조가 다른 장르에도 하나의 틀로 적용됨으로써 음악의 실제구조를 드러내지 못한 악보로 나타나고 있다. 반면 1958년 북한의 교칙본에서는 실음과 기보음, 전통음악의 음체계에 대한 정확한 이해가 드러나 있어서 남한의 여러 결과와 비교되었다. 구전음악이 악보화되는 과정이란 기보체계의 단순한 전환이 아니라 그 음악의 구조에 대한 온전한 이해가 동반되어야 하며, 그것이 전통음악의 올바른 전승에 도움을 줄 것으로 본다.

It is the purpose of this thesis to research the perspective on and limitations of Korean traditional music transcription and notation. For this research I examined converted manuscripts and transcripts published during the 1950s in both South and North Korea, such as: transcriptions by Anhwak and Yiwangjik Aakbu (Royal Court Music Institute of the Yi Dynasty), manuscripts of Jongmyo Jeryeak (music of the Jongmyo Jeryea ritual), sanjo manuscripts published by the National Gugak Center (formerly known as the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts), gayageum manuals of North Koreans Joeng Nam-hui and Ahn Gi-ok, the gayageum sanjo notational system of Kim Yun-deok, sanjo manuscripts transcribed by Lee Chae-suk, and more.
