Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to make some pedagogical suggestions for teachers of Russian language in Korea. For this purpose, several issues in pedagogy were overviewed and discussed. First of all, it was suggested that goals of Russian language program in general should be clearly defined. Long-term goal of language program is to help students achieve certain proficiency level towards the end of each semester. Proficiency levels need to be studied further to produce more pedagogically useful language textbooks. Short-term goal is to help students carry out each session of a class more effectively and productively. To make each session of a class more effective and productive, several issues were discussed, including ""только по-русски на уроке" policy, strict attendance and participation rule, 80% minimum policy, classroom geography and atmosphere, etc. Second, to help students achieve the program goal, different skills and drills were suggested, including types of classroom exercises such as mechanical, meaningful and communicative activities and homeworks. Third, issues on lesson planning and testing were discussed. When planning a lesson, it is important for teachers to

consider goals of each classroom session, and prepare and organize materials in an order that can help students develop four language skills, including speaking, listening, writing and reading naturally as well as effectively. It was also suggested that slavists in Korea need to give more thoughts on pedagogy as well as traditional research areas of their own specialty.
