dc.description.abstractA survey was undertaken under the Technical Assistant Grant provided by the Asian Development Bank for six countries selected from the Asian region. The purpose of the survey was to see energy policy responses to recent changes in oil prices. This paper was prepared on the basis of the survey. Major findings of the survey were: i) recent oil price changes have influenced the economies of both oil exporting and importing countries of the region to a significant degree and ii) a more substantial and permanent changes have been made in energy sector policies and strategies in most countries surveyed in recent years as compared with findings in the previous surveys.-
