남북 문화 간 통합을 위한 새터민 조력자의 교육모형 탐색

Abstract

본 연구에서는 Bemark와 Chung(2002)의 난민ㆍ이주민을 위한 다문화상담모형과 새터민 조력자의 교육 요구도를 기초로 하여 남북 문화 간 통합을 위한 새터민 조력자의 교육 모형을 탐색하고자 하였다. 개방형 질문을 통해 새터민 업무 수행 시 필요로 하는 교육내용을 파악하기 위한 첫 번째 연구대상은 새터민 정신건강 워크샵에 참여한 새터민 조력자 30명이었고, 이를 토대로 하여 새터민 조력자 197명을 대상으로 현재 이루어지고 있는 교육실태를 파악하였고, 이들에게 필요한 구체적인 교육 내용을 요인분석을 통해 확인 한 다음, 새터민 조력자의 개인차에 따른 교육요구도의 집단 간 차이검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 파악한 새터민 조력자의 교육 요구도는 총 35문항 9개 요인으로 구성되었다. 요인 1은 새터민과의 인간관계, 요인 2는 새터민의 세부특성 이해, 요인 3은 업무소진 예방, 요인 4는 새터민의 건강 이해, 요인 5는 경제 및 제도이해, 요인 6은 북한언어 이해, 요인 7은 새터민 심리 및 대인관계 이해, 요인 8은 탈북과정 및 적응요인 이해, 요인 9는 새터민 문제 의뢰 및 유의사항이었다. 이 요인들은 전체변량의 69.60%를 설명하였고 Cronbach α 계수는 .94로 아주 높은 것으로 나타났다. 먼저, 교육요구도 내용에 대한 우선순위를 살펴본 결과 ① 새터민의 심리적 특성 이해, ② 새터민이 주로 호소하는 심리적 문제, ③ 탈북과정의 어려움과 제3국 생활 이해가 가장 높았다. 새터민 조력자의 개인차에 따른 교육요구도의 집단 간 차이를 검증해본 결과, 성별에 따라 여성의 경우 ① 새터민과의 인간관계, ② 업무소진 예방, ③ 새터민의 건강 이해, ④ 경제 및 제도 이해, ⑤ 북한 언어 이해, ⑥ 새터민의 심리 및 대인관계 이해가 높았고, 연령에 따라서는 30세 미만의 경우 ① 새터민의 세부적 특성 이해, ② 새터민 심리 및 대인관계 이해가 높았으며, 새터민 업무경력에 따라서는 5년 이상의 장기 근무자의 경우 업무소진 예방을, 3-5년 경력자의 경우 새터민 언어이해에 대한 교육요구도가 높았다. 정부기관의 새터민 조력자보다 민간단체 새터민 조력자가 ① 새터민과의 인간관계, ② 새터민의 세부특성 이해, ③ 업무소진 예방, ④ 새터민의 건강 이해, ⑤ 북한언어 이해, ⑥ 새터민의 심리 및 대인관계, ⑦ 탈북과정 및 적응요인 이해, ⑧ 새터민 문제의뢰 및 유의사항에 대한 요구도가 더 높았다. 사전 교육수준에 따라 사전교육을 받았던 업무조력자의 심화교육은 ① 새터민과의 인간관계, ② 북한언어 이해, ③ 탈북과정 및 적응요인 이해, ④ 새터민 문제의뢰 및 유의사항에 대한 교육을 더 필요로 하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과를 토대로 새터민 조력자의 교육 모형에 대한 탐색적 방안을 제시하였다. 그런 다음 연구결과의 활용방안, 연구 의의 및 후속연구에 대한 제안을 하였다.

In this paper, supervision model of individual in charge of Saetomin was examined based on the multicultural counseling model for refugees and immigrants(Bemark and Chung, 2002), social and cultural distinctiveness and educational demand from individuals in charge of Saetomin. To understand what kind of educations were needed to carry out work related to Saetomin, open-ended questions were asked to 30 individuals in charge of Saetomin who have participated in mental health workshop, based on which the real education situation was analyzed through 197 individuals in charge of Saetomin. After confirming the specific substances of supervision through the exploratory factor analysis, The factor analysis among groups was verified according to the individual difference. The educational demands from individuals in charge of Saetomin consist of 9 factors and 35 components which are based on factor analysis (factor 1: interpersonal relationship with Saetomin, factor 2: understanding of detailed characteristics of Saetomin, factor 3: burnout prevention, factor 4: understanding of Saetomins health, factor 5: understanding of economical and political system of North Korea, factor 6: understanding of North Korean dialect, factor 7: understanding of Saetomins mentality and interpersonal relationship, factor 8: understanding of escape course from North Korea and adaptation to new environment, and factor 9: questions frequently asked by Saetomin and matters to be attended to. These factors explain 69.60% of total variables and the Cronbach a coefficient reaches .94. The priorities of educational demand are as follows 1. understanding of mentality of Sae-tomin, 2. understanding of psychological problem Saetomin usually suffers, 3. understanding of escape course from North Korea and life in the third country. Finally, the way to develop education program and supervision model for individuals in charge with Saetomin was suggested based on this study. Also, the way to utilize this result for next research, meaning of the research and follow-up research were suggested.
