u러닝의 이론적 탐색과 실천적 발전과제 분석

Abstract

최근 새로운 교육패러다임으로서 u-러닝이 활발히 논의되고 있으나, u-러닝과 관련된 연구들은 아직까지 초보적인 수준에 그치고 있는 실정이므로, 효과적이고 효율적인 u-러닝 교수・학습체제의 구축에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이 글의 목적은 최근에 활발히 논의되고 있는 u-러닝을 교수・학습의 관점에서 분석・고찰하여 향후 효과적・효율적 u-러닝을 구축하기 위하여 u-러닝의 특성 파악과 실현의 기초를 탐색하는데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 u-러닝을 사회적 구성주의, 비형식 학습과 상황학습의 관점에서 논의하였다. 그리고 효과적·효율적 교수·학습의 관점에서 u-러닝의 개념, u-러닝의 교수·학습 특성, u-러닝의 교육적 활용가치에 대해 분석적으로 논의하였다. 그리고 미래형 u-러닝은 사회적 구성주의, 비형식 학습, 상황학습을 중심으로 한 과정지향적 학습자 중심의 창의적 문제해결 역량 학습 체제의 일반화가 이루어 질 것으로 전망된다. u-러닝의 발전 과제로는, 첫째, 학습자들이 언제, 어디서나, 어떤 내용에 상관없이 학습자가 어떤 단말기로도 접속할 수 있는 유비쿼터스 교육 환경 구축이 선행되어야 하고, 둘째, 학습자, 교사, 부모간의 상호작용이 자연스럽게 이루어질 수 있는 u-러닝 기반 교육서비스를 제공할 수 있는 환경을 구축해야 하고, u-러닝을 구성하는 요소들의 균형을 유지함으로써 u-러닝의 교육적 활용 가치를 높여야 한다는 것이다.

In recent years, u-learning has been popularly discussed as a new pedagogical paradigm. Most of studies on u-learning, however, have been highly focused on the ubiquitous computing or new communication technology more than u-learning itself. Therefore development on u-learning are still on the early stage. In addition, we still have some difficulties to develop the effective and efficient u-learning system with respect to educational usage. In this regard, the purpose of this paper is to explore u-learning from the teaching and learning perspectives and further in order to build future-oriented u-learning based on characteristics of u-learning. In order to solve this research purpose, we were at first discussed social constructivism, informal learning, situated learning as the theoretical background of u-learning. Second, the definition of u-learning, the teaching and learning characteristics of u-learning, the potential value of u-learning were addressed from the teaching and learning perspectives. Since u-learning system in the future could be characterized the process-oriented system and learner-centered system, it might be broadly adopted in educational field to improve student's creative problem solving ability. Some suggestions for the development of future-oriented u-learning system are as follows; ① u-learning environment should be builded up so that learners can freely use any devices at anywhere and anytime in the real world. ② All kinds of educational services based on u-learning system should be provided with instructor, learner and the others to actively interact each other. ③ The various effective factors related to u-learning should be balanced to increase the potential value of u-learning.
