dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to elucidate the sea-level changes of Post glacial age in the Western Coast ok Korea peninsula. For this purpose, ancient shoreline is examined on the basis of analysises of the sedimentary materials and their heights obtained from the mean sea level at Inchon. The result of the study are as follows: 1. The fact that all the sediments of each study area are intertidal deposits near the high tide shoreline and their altitudes are 2.2.5m higher than the present mean high water of spring tide (M.H.W.S), indicates that ancient shoreline was about 3 m above the present shoreline.2. In view of that the sediments were deposited under the circumstance of stand-still when sea-level was higher than present and are sti11 unconsolidated, sea-level is estimated to h3.ve been about 3 m higher than present during Post glacial age.-
