朝鮮時代의 氣候環境 --史料分析을 中心으로--

Abstract

This study attempts to reconstruct the climatic features of Chosǒn Dynasty on the basis of weather records appeared in the historical documents. Weather records in the historical documents. Weather records in the Chǔhgbo Munhǒnbigo(增補文獻備考) were used as main sources and supplemented detail data needed from the Chosǒn Wangjo-Shillok(朝鮮王朝實錄). Climatic features such as rainfall snow, wind, fog, frost, hail, drought, flood and famines appeared in the records were analyzed and interpreted with 50 year intervals, and calculated cool index and dry-humidity index for each of the 50 year period.

According to the trends of cool index during the Choson Dynasty normal temperature change period in the early part and as unusual temperature change period in the later part, a Little Ice Age, are identified. The Little Ice Age during the Choson period may be divided into three cool periods : the first from 1551 to 1650, the second from 1701 to 1750, and the third from 1801 to 1900. The above division of the Little Ice age in Korea roughly corresponds with that in Europe as well as in Japan.
