首都圈 南部 非都市地域의 工業發達과 企業體 特性에 關한 硏究 -華城郡을 事例로-

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the characteristics of manufacturing firms and industrial development in Hwasung County. The county is one of southern county region of Seoul Metropolitan Area which has been industrialized rapidly since mid-1970s.The data were obtains from interviews and questionnaire surveys conducted for manufacturing firms in Hwasung Country.The results of the study can be summarized as follow; Firstly, the industry of Hwasung County has been developed continually since mid-1970s. The proportion of the heavy chemical industry has been increased, Major industrial areas are Taean-Eup, Osan-Eup, Bongdam-Myeon, Dongtan-Myeon, which have good access to transportation routes. Secondly, the industrial development of Hwasung County is related to Seoul. The most important factor in location decision is closeness to Seoul. The manufacturing firms are linked to those in Seoul in terms of employees, the purchase of raw materials, sales of goods, information and technical service, subcontract in and so forth. The number of firms, whose headquaters are in Seoul, are increased. The industrialization of Hwasung County has been promoted by spatial division of Labor.
