Abstract
Under the rapid changes of industrial environments, every enterprise should cope with the dynamic situation through organizational and locational changes. The rise in production costs resulting from such factors as wage increases, excessive labor disputes, etc. makes disintegration of production, and accordingly this disintegration allows each enterprise to use labors in the peripheral region. However, externalization of production and spatial concentration, which are responses to the fluctuating demand, result in locational dynamics. And each enterprise puts into production the labors directly form the adjacent region where it is located, not from the outside of the region.

This paper aims to interprete the locational changes in apparel industry in Korea- a concentration in Seoul and a dispersion within Seoul- with specific relation to the changes in labor composition. For this purpose, changes in production organization, and mechanisms that the changes are reflected in space are investigated. The research findings are as follows.
