국민문학의 경계지대 '조선부락' : 1940~50년대의 문학작품을 중심으로

Abstract

본고는 1970년을 전후해서 주목 받기 시작한 이른바 재일조선인 문학보다 앞서서 문학작품에 나타난 조선부락이라는 장 및 주제야말로 재일조선인 문학의 등장을 뒷받침했다는 가설을 검증한 것이다. 그래서 1940년대, 1950년대의 대표적인 일본어 잡지인 <民主朝鮮(민주조선)>, <ヂンダレ(진달래)>의 여러 작품을 분석했다. 또한 1950년대에 조선부락을 주제로 많은 작품을 남긴 시인 강순(姜舜)의 시를 분석했다. 분석 결과 강순의 작품이 전형적으로 나타내듯, 조선부락은 일본과 조선의 경계선상에 있는 마을로서, 그 때문에 복수의 언어가 난무하고 남북한의 어느 쪽에도 속하지 않으며, 역사적 기억이 나타나면서 또한 재일조선인의 삶의 기반이 되는 장소이다. 그 때문에 조선부락이라는 장소나 주제는 특정한 국민이나 민족에 수렴하지 않고, 또 그것들에 저항하는 장소이기도 하다. 이 점에서 조선부락과 70년대 이후의 재일조선인 문학은 겹치는 것, 따라서 이른바 재일조선인 문학의 등장에 앞서서, 그것을 뒷받침하는 불안정한 문학공간이었다고 결론지었다.

This paper tested the hypothesis that before the so called Korean Japanese Literature which drew attention around 1970, there was a place and topic called Chosun Burak supporting the advent of Korean Japanese Literature. In this context, various literature in the representative Japanese magazine of 1940s and 1950s, <民主朝鮮 Minju Chosun> <ヂンダレJindal-lae> was analyzed. Moreover works of Kang Soon(姜舜), a poet who left many poems on Chosun Burak of 1950s, were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, typically shown in the works of Kang Soon, Chosun Burak was a village placed on the borderline of Korea and Japan. On this account, in Chosun Burak multiple languages were used, no one belonged to either South or North, historical memories lingered and also Chosun Burak was foundation on which Korean Japanese lived. Thus Chosun Burak, as a place and topic was not bounded to particular people nor nation, rather it was something that resisted all those. This brought to a conclusion that Chosun Burak and Korean Japanese Literature after 1970s overlap making Chosun Burak an unstable space of literature that anteceded and supported Korean Japanese Literature.
