문법장치 와/과를 활용한 개요 수정 사례

Abstract

사고의 방법이나 방향을 이끄는 도구가 될 수 있다는 점을 보임으로써 문법교육이 작문교육에 어떻게 활용될 수 있는지를 밝히려는 것이다. 이 논문에서 대상으로 삼은 문법 표지는 대등성 의미 관계를 지시하는 문법장치인 와/과와 이를 함의하는 비명시적 와/과와 관련된 의미 관계다. 대등적 의미 관계를 나타내는 문법장치인 와/과와 통합되는 명사(상당 어구)들의 관계는 계열 관계에 놓인 요소가 되며 대등적 의미 관계를 갖는다. 학습자들은 개방성 체계 내에서 문법적 장치와 통합된 계열 관계의 요소들 간의 관계를 읽음으로써 개요의 응집성을 확보함과 동시에 어휘 관계를 통한 사고의 확장을 통해 사고의 깊이와 넓이를 확보할 수 있다. 이러한 문법교육이 갖는 의미는 두 가지다. 첫째는 학습자가 산출한 언어 수행의 결과를 바탕으로 교육이 이루어진다는 의미다. 둘째는 이러한 활동 자체가 통합적인 문법교육의 방법이 된다는 점이다. 학습자들이 이미 산출한 학습자의 문자 언어 표현의 결과물인 동시에 학습자가 객관적으로 읽어야할 언어 이해의 대상이 된다. 읽기와 쓰기 활동이 와/과라는 문법장치를 중심으로 문법 교육 내로 통합되는 것이다. 그리고 이 와/과라는 문법장치에 대한 인식은 언어 수행의 방법을 이끌어내는 교육적 도구로서의 기능을 하는 것이다.

This research aims at suggesting a teaching methodology that helps learners correct their own writing by making use of grammatical device. That is, a specific grammatical device is to be a method to sharpen learners way and direction of thinking. Therefore, this paper clarifies that grammar education is adopted to writing education in practice, and undertakes elucidating a conjunctive indicator wa/kwa and grammatical relations relevant to it. The relation of words located front and back of the conjunctive device wa/kwa belongs to elements of paradigmatic relations. Learners are able to achieve coherency in their writing by reading the elements of the paradigmatic relations, and also deepen their thoughts through the expansion of lexical relations at the same time. The grammatical device wa/kwa becomes a marker to signal a horizontal relation in an outline. Learners are trained to read a lexical hierarchy within the horizontal relation. Furthermore, learners are led to understand and develop the internal structure of their text by themselves in a way of expanding wa/kwa to other applicable indicator such as -boda, -myeo, and han pyeon.
