Abstract

씨모네 카레나는 현재 서울 홍익대학교 국제디자인 대학원 IDAS 디지털 미디어/ 공간 디자인 교수 역임 중이며, 1995년 미국 Southern California Institute of Architecture에서 건축학 석사 학위, 1994년 이탈리아 토리노의 폴리테크닉 건축과를 수석으로 전공, 영국의 옥스포드와의 폴리테크닉 대학교, 미국 하버드 GSD와 자메이카 킹스턴(현재의 기술 대학교)에서도 추가적인 교육을 받았다. 현재 Marco Bruno와 함께 모토엘라스티코 건축 사무소를 운영 중이다. 13년의 건축 활동과 10여 년의 교수 활동 동안 그의 작품은 여러 책, 잡지, TV, 라디오 쇼, 전시회, 회의에 전시되었고, 그의 건축작품과 미디어 작품들로 여러 상을 받았다.
