본 논문은 석사과정 졸업 연주 프로그램을 중심으로 작품의 시대적 배경 및 작곡 배경을 알아보고, 음악적 분석을 함으로써 연주의 질과 음악적 식견을 넓히는 것에 의미가 있다. 특히 프로그램이 특정 시대에 치우치지 않고 바로크, 낭만, 인상주의의 대표적인 작곡가와 작품들로 구성되어, 음악사적 흐름까지 살펴 볼 수 있을 것으로 생각한다. 또 분석에만 그치는 것이 아니라 졸업 연주를 준비하며 고민했던 요소들과 연주법에 관해서도 함께 논의 해 보고자한다.

바흐(Johann Sebastian Bach, 1685-1750, 독일)의 《파르티타 1번》(Partita No. 1 in B flat major, BWV 825)은 그가 남긴 6개의 파르티타 중 첫 번째 곡으로, 구성적인 면에서는 기본적인 4개의 춤곡 - 알르망드(Allemande), 쿠랑트(Courante), 사라반드(Sarabande), 지그(Gigue) - 과 선택적으로 사용한 1개의 춤곡인 미뉴에트(Menuet), 전주성격으로 모음곡의 가장 앞에 위치하는 프렐류드(Prelude)가 더해진다. 춤곡의 대부분은 뒷부분이 확장된 형태의 2부 형식이며, 대위적 요소들을 많이 찾아볼 수 있다. 브람스(Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897, 독일)는 1890년 이후부터 피아노 소품들을 하나의 묶음으로 엮어 놓은 형태의 작품들을 많이 작곡했다. 《Klavierstüke, Op. 118》 역시 6개의 작은 소품들로 이루어져 있으며, 각각의 조성이 a단조, A장조, g단조, f단조, F장조, e♭단조로 온음씩 하행하는 짜임을 보인다. 브람스의 후기 음악적 특징을 잘 보여주는 곡이다.

드뷔시(Claude Debussy, 1862-1918, 프랑스)는 인상주의 음악을 대표하는 작곡가로, 파리에서 열린 만국박람회에서 여러 나라의 음악과 문화를 접한 후에 《판화》(Estampes, 1903)를 작곡했다. 인도네시아의 가믈란 음악에서 영향을 받은 제1곡 Pagodes와, 스페인의 이국적인 정취가 느껴지는 제2곡 La soirée dans Grenade, 전형적인 인상주의 형태로 작곡되어 빗방울 소리가 들리는 착각을 불러일으키는 제3곡 Jardins sous la pluie까지 모두 세 곡으로 구성되어 있다.

This paper is focused on a research about my recital program on June 3 for Master of Music degree: J. S. Bach(1685-1750) 《Partita No. 1 in B flat major, BWV 825》 , J. Brahms(1833-1897) 《Klavierstücke, Op. 118》 and C. Debussy(1862-1918) 《Estampes, L 100》. The purpose of this study is to improve musical understanding and quality through research historical backgrounds and analysis of the works. Bach's 《Partita No. 1》 is the first works of his six Partitas. In this, there are four basic pieces of dance music - allemande, courante, sarabande and gigue - one optional dance music menuet, and prelude. Almost of pieces has a two part form and contrapuntal elements. Brahms composed many of works which formed several small piano pieces like a set, after 1890. 《Op. 118》, also, consists six small pieces that each tonality was a minor, A major, g minor, f minor, F major and e-flat minor. We can find many of Brahms's late style through these pieces. Debussy, a great composer of impressionism, composed 《Estampes, L 100》after attending 1889 Paris Exposition. This works was consist of three small pieces. The first one which named Pagodes was influenced by indonesia 'gamelan style' music. An exotic mood in Spain was well expressed in second piece La soirée dans Grenade. The last one Jardins sous la pluie describes raindrops vividly. It composed by typical impressionism music form.
