청소년의다문화 행동과다문화 인식, 다문화태도및 다문화 행동의도 간의 구조적 관계

Abstract

이 연구는 청소년의 다문화 행동과 관련 변인 간의 인과관계를 밝히는 데 그 목적이 있었다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 첫째, 청소년의 다문화 행동과 관련 변인 간의 가설적 모형을 설정하여 적합도를 검증하고, 둘째, 다문화 행동과 관련 변인 간의 영향관계를 밝히며, 셋째, 다문화 행동의 구조모형에서 나타나는 다문화 태도와 다문화 행동의도의 매개효과를 밝히는 데 목표를 두었다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 이 연구에서는 전국의 고등학교 1, 2학년 학생을 대상으로 다문화 행동경험을 가진 총 550명을 유의표집하여 자료를 수집하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이 연구에서 설정한 청소년의 다문화 행동모형은 변인 간의 구조관계를 적합하게 예측하는 것으로 검증되었다. 둘째, 다문화 행동모형에서 다문화 태도는 다문화 행동의도에, 그리고 다문화 행동의도는 다문화 행동에 직접 영향을 미쳤으며, 다문화 인식은 다문화 태도에 직접 영향을 미쳤으나 다문화 행동의도에는 직접 영향을 미치지 않았다. 셋째, 청소년의 다문화 행동모형 내에서 다문화 인식은 다문화 태도와 다문화 행동의도를 매개로 다문화 행동에, 그리고 다문화 태도는 다문화 행동의도를 매개로 다문화 행동에 간접적 영향을 미치는 것으로 확증되었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 청소년의 다문화 행동과 다문화 인식, 다문화 태도 및 다문화 행동의도 간의 인과관계에 대한 함의를 도출하고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to identify structural relations among multicultural behavior, multicultural cognition, multicultural attitude and multicultural behavior intention of the Korean adolescent. For this purpose, structural model was set and analyzed, and the relations among variables within the model were identified. The population of this study was students in high school. 550 adolescents were drawn from 3 high school of metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas by using a purposive sampling method. The findings of the study were as follows; First, the goodness-of-fit of hypothetical structural model of multicultural cognition, multicultural attitude, multicultural behavior intention and multicultural behavior was satisfactory, which confirmed the structural relationships of the variables. Second, multicultural attitude and multicultural behavior intention of adolescents have direct effect on multicultural behavior. However, multicultural cognition has no direct effect on multicultural behavior intention. Third, the relationship between multicultural cognition and multicultural behavior intention has moderating effect and so did multicultural attitude, and the relationship between multicultural attitude and multicultural behavior has moderating effect and so did multicultural behavior intention. Finally, academic and practical implications based on major findings were presented in the conclusion section.
