팀 경기력 평가에서 전술 요인의 활용 가능성에 관한 탐색적 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 축구 경기에서 팀의 전술 요인을 탐색하여 추출하고 범주화하고, 실제 경기 영상을 통해 전술 요인에 대한 자료를 수집하여 대상 간의 차이를 비교함으로서 추출된 전술 요인의 타당성을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 수행하기 위한 절차로서 첫째, 전술 요인을 탐색하기 위해 축구 지도자 5인으로 구성된 전문가 집단을 대상으로 반구조화 면접(Semi-structure Interviews)을 수행하였다. 면접 내용에 대한 분석은 범주 합산 혹은 직접 해석 방법(Categorical Aggregation or Direct Interpretation)을 사용하였고, 요인 추출 및 범주화 과정을 거쳤다. 둘째, 전술 요인의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 실제 경기 영상을 관찰하여 전술 요인을 측정하였다. 이 과정에서 전술 요인을 포함한 경기영상 기록지를 작성하였고, 측정의 모호성을 해결하고자 각 전술 요인들의 개념을 정의하였다. 최종적으로 팀 경기력 평가 요인으로서의 활용 가능성을 검증하기 위해 K리그와 U리그의 전술 요인에 대한 관측치를 비교하였으며, 통계적인 검정을 위해 빈도분석, 교차분석, 카이제곱 검정을 수행하였다. 이 연구를 통해 도출된 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전술 요인은 축구 경기를 구성하는 4가지 국면(공격, 수비로의 전환, 수비, 공격으로의 전환)에 근거하여 추출되었고 각 전술들은 경기의 상황과 플레이가 이루어지는 지점에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 둘째, 실제 경기 영상을 통해 전술 요인에 대한 측정이 가능하였으며, 공격 전술의 경우 측정에 어려움이 없었으나 일부 수비 전술에서 측정의 불확실성이 발견되어 측정 장비와 개념 정의에 관한 추가 논의가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 셋째, 수집된 자료를 통해 리그 간 전술 운영의 차이를 확인했지만, 이것이 경기력 수준의 차이로 나타나는지에 대해서는 검증하지 못했다. 이 연구에서 채택한 연구 방법으로는 전술과 경기력의 관계를 검증할 수 없어 후속 연구를 통해 추가 검증이 필요하며 전술 요인의 타당성 및 신뢰성 제고를 위해 분석 대상의 확대(리그 및 경기 수)가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

This study begins with the concern that the existing team performance evaluation system considers the performance of the team as a whole through the sum of individual performance. The existing evaluation system has limitations that do not fully reflect the various elements of soccer matches and team dynamics, which have raised the need for a comprehensive approach and a holistic perspective to the performance. In addition, tactics were known as a means to achieve what the team wants to do in the match. Therefore, it may indicate the teams performance and has the potential for being used as a team performance factor. Thus, the purpose of this study is to explore, extract and categorize the team's tactical factors in soccer matches, and to verify the validity of these factors by observing, collecting, analyzing data to compare the differences between two comparisons. As a procedure of this study, first, a semi-structural interviews were conducted with a group of experts of five football managers and coaches to explore tactical factors. Analysis of the content was done using a categorical aggregation or direct interpretation, and then was conducted factorial extraction and categorization. Second, to verify the validity of the tactical factors, the tactical factors were measured by observing the soccer matches on screen. In this process, the recording sheet including tactical factors was designed and the concept of each tactical factor was defined to solve the ambiguity of the measurement. Finally, observations of tactical factors in the K-League and the U-League were compared to verify their usability as team performance evaluation factors, and frequency analysis, cross-analysis, and chi-square tests were performed for statistical tests. The results of this study are as follows. First, tactical factors are extracted on the basis of the phases consisting a football match(attack, defense, attacking transition, defensive transition). Each tactics appeared differently depending on the situation of the game and the play of style. Second, tactical factors that are extracted from this study can be measured during matches. However, some defensive tactics cannot be observed due to the limitations of cameras vision and the uncertainty of a notion regarding defensive tactics. Third, it is identified that there is a difference in the use of tactics between leagues. However, It is not possible to determine whether the differences in tactical frequency of use represent differences in performance levels. That is the reason why further discussion will be needed through a follow-up studies. In addition, to improve the validity and reliability, an expansion of the numbers of subjects(league and games) will be required.
