Variability Characteristics of High-luminosity AGNs Based on the Seoul National University AGN Monitoring Project

- Reverberation mapping technique is one of the most reliable way for measuring the black hole mass of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN). Reverberation mapping provides the size of broad-line region (BLR) in AGN based on the time lag measurements between Hβ borad emission line and continuum flux variance. Seoul National University AGN Monitoring Project (SAMP) is a long-term monitoring project for luminous AGN in multiple photometric bands and spectroscopic wavelength range. In this study, we report B-band photometric light curve and the variability characteristic sof 11 AGNs based on ~1000 days of time base line. In process, we found that new photometric reduction process gave better measurement results than previous reduction process. We calculated 3 numerical variability characteristic coefficients, and found them all coherent. Estimated time lag of AGNs are within 6.2 days to 194.0 days range, but their errors were too large to investigate further in current stage of study. The previous study on first two light curves and time lag estimation results of SAMP shows feasibility of the reverberation mapping analysis, suggesting that the full 5-year reverberation mapping campaign will provide high quality light curves and reliable time lag measurements.
