Abstract
Recently, advanced nations, in preparation for the intensified international competitiveness in the 21st century, have re-shaped the frame work of labor-management co-existence, and in Korea, the public awareness is spreading out that workers' active and competitiveness of Korean business and improve the quality of working life. Considering this situation, the Act on the Promotion of Workers' Participation and Cooperation is established in 1997, with the purposes of improving not only industrial relations but also workers' understanding of general business management and promoting the corporate competitiveness and productivity by infusing the willingness to work into the hearts of workers. This study suggested several improvement ways of Labor Management Council(LMC) under the Act on the Promotion of Workers' Participation and Cooperation. Mainly, the employers have to deal the subjects in the LMC in accordance with the Act. On the contrary, the employees have to understand that LMC is not of 'the 2nd collective bargaining but of 'the discussion system for mutual wellbeing'.
